Local Attractions

There are many walking tracks around town and around 4 beaches ( Watcombe Beach, Main Penguin Beach, Johnson's Beach and Preservation Bay ). We are 80 minutes from Cradle Mountain and geographically central on the NW Coast of Tasmania. Historic Stanley and The Nut are also 60 mins away to the west passing spectacular Boat Harbour and Sisters Beach.

Mountain bike tracks for over 70 kms and magnificant views from Mt Montgomery ( a 40 min hike) are within easy access as well as The Leven Canyon and Gunns Plains Caves.

A boat ramp at Penguin gives easy access to the open sea for fishing, jet skiing, sailing and kayaking.
